An Evening of Partner Yoga and Thai Massage with Jude Ortiz and Sarah Vosen

Treat Yourselves to a Decadent Experience!

When: Saturday, 2/13, 5:30-8pm
Where: Kids Yoga Minnesota, 2836 Lyndale Ave S (next to the Bikram studio)

Celebrate your connection with someone special this Valentine’s Day weekend with a playful and intimate workshop focused on creating a loving space for each other.

Come deepen your connection, both physically and emotionally, through partner yoga and Thai massage practices. Connect deeply with each other in a safe environment and discover new ways of supporting each other in your yoga practices and in life overall.

In this workshop, we will explore ways of opening up our bodies and energy lines by working together to move into poses. Therapeutic touch and assists will help us lead each other deeper into poses while undoing tension and stress that we've been carrying. The Thai massage activities will bring us deeper into relaxation, further unlock areas of tension, and help us open up with each other.

This all-levels workshop is for everyone. No previous yoga/Thai massage experience is necessary to enjoy this workshop.

**Please bring one pillow and one blanket per pair for the Thai massage exercises. Dress in layers so you can stay warm and comfortable throughout the workshop.

Cost: Early Bird registration $60/pair before 2/6; Regular registration $80/pair after 2/7

Please email acroyogampls@gmail.com for pre-registration and with any questions. You can pre-pay via PayPal or Venmo, or bring cash to the workshop.

About the Instructors:

Sarah Vosen

Sarah Vosen is an agile and articulate mind, with a natural grasp of symbolic systems and the conceptual relationships between well-being, behavior, emotion, and the physical body. Her rigorous study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture have synergized with her study of western nutrition and many forms of physical exercise, including yoga, AcroYoga, gymnastics, capoeira, and pilates. She is a font of knowledge about wellness—anatomically, internally, and energetically—which she articulates with simplicity and clarity. Her work nurtures the mind, body, and soul, with equal weight. Sarah's training includes earning a Master's of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College, a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) certification (1000+ hours) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and the AcroYoga Levels 1 & 2 teacher trainings. More about Sarah can be found at http://www.sarahpeutics.org/

Jude Ortiz

Jude currently teaches many forms of yoga at various studios in Minneapolis. He regularly teaches acroyoga, vinyasa, hatha, and yin. He completed his 200-hour yoga teacher training at Nature Yoga Sanctuary in Chicago in March 2014 and the Yin Yoga Level 1 and 2 trainings at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis in April 2015. He is excited to be assisting his co-teacher in AcroYoga Mpls, Alyssa Hill, at the 2016 Minneapolis Yoga Conference to expose more yogis to the joys of acroyoga. Overall, he enjoys facilitating accessible classes that create safer practicing environments for each of his students, taking into account differing physical abilities, body types, backgrounds/histories, genders, and needs.
